Whittier Community Theatre announces Auditions for THE GHOST TRAIN by Arnold Ridley; Directed by Suzanne Frederickson

Auditions will be held September 11 and 12 at 7:30 pm at the 400-seat Whittier Center Theatre, located at 7630 S. Washington Ave. in Whittier, CA

Performances will run 3 weekends: November 3 thru 18

Character List

Characters: (ages are suggestions):

SAUL HODGKIN a middle-aged station master, weathered and weary age 50s to 60s. New England accent.

RICHARD WINTHROP a well to do business man in his 40s or 50s

ELSIE WINTHROP Richard’s wife. A strong willed woman in her 30s or 40s

CHARLES MURDOCH also a well to do business man (inherited) in his late 20s early 30s, and newly married to Peggy.

PEGGY MURDOCH Charles wife. Frightens easily and relies on Charles to protect her. In her early to late 20s.

MISS BOURNE a slightly batty, severe, spinster type of woman in her late 50s, early 60s.

TEDDY DEAKIN a silly, foppish Englishman in his mid-30s early 40s. Must be able to do a British accent.

JULIA PRICE a young woman in her late 20s, early 30s given to histrionics.

HERBERT PRICE Julia’s Uncle, well to do and in his 50s

JOHN STERLING a well to do Doctor in his 40s

JACKSON a detective from Scotland Yard in his 50s.(British accent)
